SID 583 Boystown West Farm

Sanitary Improvement District 583 – West Farm Boys Town

The historic Boys Town community is in the process of developing nearly 500 acres of undeveloped land. The mixed-use development is slated for 2.3 million square feet of commercial space, 2,000 residential homes, and one-third of the land to be open green space, parks, trail system and public squares. The $1.2 billion development contains 102 manholes to service the 32,000 foot of sanitary sewers and 18,500 foot of 18” to 72” diameter reinforced concrete storm sewers. An 8’ Span x 7’ rise precast concrete box culvert will be constructed at the main entrance to the development. Fifty one 6’x12’ OPPD precast utility vaults are being installed for underground power transmission throughout the site.

Construction of all the utilities and paving is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2018, with the first building ready for occupancy by late 2019.
